Do you notice that this is the only month so far that I have written a diary post at the actual end of the month!
Though this doesn't mean that I am taking lesser interest in broadcasting my thoughts and feelings; What it certainly means is that life has become busier, with Real Work ( the usual meaning.)
I find myself fatigued down after a day in office, something that was not happening before.
Consequently, there's even more tidiness in the routine and weekends are exclusively booked for climbing practice and work out related stuff.
Clicking pictures, No sir, I don't seem to have enough time. Even when I do have it, the concept of going on
photowalks with strangers has started to sound less exciting ( I don't have a rational reason. Its just an internal feeling I can't justify). I wish I had my Pune Photography friends around to go on photo trip with.
While climbing is something I seem to like to do with anyone, irrespective of age, background, familiarity with the person, photography is not apparently falling in the same zone. I am taking a break there.
But lets talk less about activities and more about Gurgaon/Delhi.
Commute has become somewhat easier thanks to the intracity Gurgaon buses that ply between a few select routes in the city. Although they are of a really bad quality and compare nothing against Delhi Transport Corporation buses, they do lessen the strain on the pocket by saving me from bowing to the
arrogant autorickshawwallah's greed. Hopefully, more of such buses and more number of routes on which they ply and you would find me complaining even less.
Winter is about to end. Weather is quite pleasantly cool nowadays and sun shines through happily, not harshly. But the picture is going to be hotter in a matter of some days, it seems. Time to install the air conditioning in the bedroom.
I also plan to check out this one particular biodiversity park near my house. Till then, Nehru park in delhi will remain my favourite spot for running and I doubt any other park will be able to rival it.
Lucknow trip happened in between and boy,was it fun! Good food, what with biryani, shirmal roti and the accompanying sweets! Great hosts, good wedding pictures, a chance to wander in the famous Lucknow Cantonment area and that was enough to make my trip look worthwhile for me. The city of Nawabs is home to a lot of history and good architecture- both British and Mohmeddan.
Indian Mountaineering Foundation is another thing I have come to like about Delhi. I can be found there on weekend mornings, trying to climb to the top of the wonderful walls or traversing the bouldering routes. There's a really enthusiastic crowd, something I never witnessed in Pune. These people are regular and are really good at what they do.
I also got a chance to check out the woods around Qutub Minar in Mehrauli area of Delhi where I had gone for bouldering with some climbing friends. Hardly anybody in Delhi knows about this area and it is quite unsafe for a lone climber. But we were equipped with a Jeep Spanner,so we were safe, I assume :P . Its an excellent area in terms of rocks and boulders and we will be going there often, I hope. We were among the ruins of the Lal Kot Kila and could see Qutub Minar rising up at some distance from where we were in the woods. Isn't that something cool!
Then came the office outing day when we had a really fun filled treasure hunt race among the farmhouses and narrow lanes of Chhatarpur. We used the GPS, answered cool questions, completed dancing challenges and also hitched a ride on board a truck! This was followed by an absolutely wonderful party in a night club where everything was free and unlimited. Man, that was fuN! If you ask me if I like pubs, alcohol and music & dancing that goes with all this, answer is definitively in the affirmative.
A very happening month , all in all. I have no plans for the upcoming months except to continue with the routine which itself is something I am quite enjoying.
I am not even sure that I would be continuing with this dairy. After capturing first 5 months, the newness of doing so has started to wear off. May be I will write on something else that might come to my mind.
Till then,
Happy Smiles!
